Lessons from the Lab
Known Limits Are a Trust Feature
May 19, 2026
A serious AI system should not hide its limits.
Verdify Lab publishes known limits because the claim is stronger when buyers can see the boundary. The lab does not claim full autonomy, yield optimization, profit optimization, or controlled agronomic causality. It shows a bounded AI planning loop operating against real telemetry, physical constraints, public scorecards, and visible caveats.
The operating lesson
Every client AI workflow has known limits:
- Source data may be incomplete.
- The model may confuse similar cases.
- Some actions may be too risky to automate.
- Reviewers may override recommendations.
- Edge cases may require escalation.
Naming those limits is not weakness. It is how teams decide what to monitor, what to prohibit, and what to improve.
Translate this to your workflow
Add a known-limits section to every AI workflow review. Pair it with a risk register, exception taxonomy, and scorecard.
Verdify builds this into the Verified AI Operations Audit and the AgentOps Retainer.
